NYK Conducts Short-term Exchange Program for Maritime Schools in Japan and the Philippines

From August 30 to September 9, 2017, 10 students from the Hiroshima and Yuge colleges of the National Institute of Technology travelled to the Philippines. During the visits, the students stayed at the NTMA dormitory and participated in study and activities at the school. They spent their weekends sightseeing and interacting with the NTMA students.

Students from both countries attended classes and drills together, interacting with one another in English, and left with greater stimulation and motivation.
NYK will continue to stimulate an interest in the seafaring life by encourage young adults to gain a global perspective.
From October 15 to 21, 2017, 10 students from NTMA travelled to Japan and visited the National Institute of Technology’s Yuge College in Ehime prefecture for classes and drills. The students also visited a container terminal in Tokyo, the NYK Maritime Museum, and NYK Hikawamaru.
