Automotive Business
It comprises a maritime transportation division consisting of approximately 120 vessels, making it the largest in the world, and an automotive logistics division responsible for transportation and storage inland, leveraging a global network to provide high-value services that seamlessly connect maritime to inland transport.
While traditionally focusing on the overseas transportation of completed vehicles from Japan, we have been adapting to the shift in overseas production by automotive manufacturers. We are advancing our response to tripartite transportation that does not involve Japan, constructing coastal transportation networks in Europe, China, and Southeast Asia, building and operating dedicated vehicle terminals in various locations, and investing in and developing inland transportation networks, leading the way in infrastructure development ahead of other companies.
Furthermore, we are expanding transportation services from overseas to Japan, transporting construction and heavy machinery and used vehicles, and providing value-added services such as pre-delivery inspection (PDI) for completed vehicles at terminals and inland bases.
