NYK Group to Exhibit at International Wind Energy Expo

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK), together with group companies NYK Bulk & Projects Carriers Ltd., Japan Marine Science Inc., and Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd., will participate in WIND EXPO, the 15th International Wind Energy Expo, at Tokyo Big Sight from February 19 to 21.
At its booth, the NYK Group will use panels, videos, and models of a crew transfer vessel (CTV) to introduce new information about services* that meet customer needs in various areas of the offshore wind business. The NYK Group will also have an exhibit dedicated to its Akita School of Wind and Sea, a comprehensive training center offering offshore wind industry training programs, among others, in Oga City, Akita Prefecture, Japan. NYK and Nippon Marine Enterprises, Ltd. opened this school last April.
NYK Executive Officer Tsutomu Yokoyama will participate in a panel discussion on February 21 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Taking advantage of its ship handling simulator, the company also provides safety measures for ship operations during the installation of the wind turbines. Training for maintenance and inspection after installation are also offered as a comprehensive consultation service to meet customer needs. |
