Takuya Soga, President of NYK, participated as a member in the WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development) Council Meeting held in New York, USA, from September 22 to 23, 2024.
This meeting coincided with Climate Week* and focused on critical topics related to climate change and sustainability. It provided a platform for discussing concrete actions to address the climate crisis and initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable business practices.
It was an excellent opportunity to directly communicate our assertion to the leaders of some of the world’s foremost companies: “Without decarbonizing logistics, achieving carbon neutrality across all industries is impossible.”
