Promoting transformation on the strengths of technology and human resources
NYK has issued the English version of its 2024 NYK Report.
The report examines from various angles, including specific initiatives, the progress of the NYK Group's medium-term management plan "Sail Green, Drive Transformations 2026 — A Passion for Planetary Wellbeing" announced in March 2023, as well as the Group's ESG management, which has entered the implementation phase and continues to evolve.
In his message, NYK President and CEO Takaya Soga explains the aims of the "ambidextrous management" set forth in the medium-term management plan, the contribution to the maritime industry through advanced initiatives, the creation of new businesses, the strength of the maritime engineer brand, and investment in human resources and group management, as well as his commitment to value creation and corporate reform. The report also examines the NYK Group's commitment to value creation and corporate transformation.
In addition to special pages focusing on the strengths that drive the NYK Group's growth, namely "technological capabilities" and "human resources," the report delves into the decarbonization strategy and GHG (greenhouse gas) reduction targets presented in the "NYK Group Decarbonization Story" announced in November 2023, with examples of specific initiatives and co-creation.
