NYK has been recognized as an outstanding health and productivity management organization (large enterprise category) for an eighth consecutive year under the Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program, a cooperative initiative designed by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and conducted by Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council).*
The program recognizes corporations that practice particularly excellent health management based on their efforts to address local health issues and promote health through the Japan Health Council. The goal is to publicize companies that engage in health management so that corporations that think about employee health management from a managerial perspective and engage in it strategically will receive recognition from society.
NYK considers employee health and safety to be the foundation of its business activities and one of its highest priorities. In fact, the company has established a clinic at its head office, where a company doctor, internists, and a nurse work to prevent illness and are always available for health consultations.
We will continue our efforts to ensure that our employees are able to work with vitality and maximize their abilities.
