Announcement by China's National Development and Reform Commission regarding NYK's Ocean Shipping Service for Cars and Trucks

NYK has been notified by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China that the company’s ocean shipping service for cars and trucks has violated China’s anti-monopoly law.
NYK has fully cooperated with the fair investigation being conducted by the NDRC in accordance with the anti-monopoly law in China, and consequently the company has received an immunity from the fine in the investigation. NYK appreciates NDRC’s appropriate investigation procedure from beginning to end and fully accepts NDRC’s final decision.
NYK has remained committed to complying with the spirit of laws and regulations of China and all other jurisdictions. Nevertheless, the company wishes to express its sincere regret to shareholders, customers, and all relevant personnel for the concern caused by this matter. NYK will continue to make its best efforts to prevent a recurrence* and to recover the public’s trust through business continuity in China.

- Amendment of the company’s antitrust law compliance program
- Continual training of the company’s employees in the field of antitrust law compliance.
