External Evaluations

We were placed on the CDP's*1 annual climate change A List, thus recognizing the company as one of the world leading businesses at the forefront of tackling climate change. Since, within the approximately 5,800 companies evaluated, 270 companies in the world (53 companies in Japan) and, especially in the shipping and logistics sector, only 9 companies in the world (2 companies in Japan) have been recognized as the highest rated A list, the recognition of us acknowledges our track record of GHG emission reductions, our efforts to mitigate climate change risks, and the transparency of our information disclosures.

In November 2020, we were selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index *2, a global ESG index, for the 18th consecutive year.

In July 2020, we have been selected for the FTSE4 Good Index Series *3, which is one of the world's representative ESG (environmental, social, governance) investment indicators, for the 18th consecutive year. We have also been selected for the fourth consecutive year in the “FTSE Blossom Japan Index” *4, which is a newly set index for Japanese companies that excel in ESG compliance.
