Hikawa Maru Welcomes Two Millionth Visitor

December 2, 2015

Hikawa Maru, which is moored in front of Yamashita Park in Yokohama, Japan, proudly welcomed its two millionth visitor on November 15. The lucky guest was a 7-year-old boy named Haruto Endo, who was visiting the museum ship with his family. In honor of the visit, the family was presented with a ticket for a dinner cruise for four on Lady Crystal.

Haruto’s father, Takahiro, commented, “Actually, this is first time for us to visit Hikawa Maru, so we are lucky. I hope 5 million people will visit in the future.”

A number of season events are currently scheduled for the ship, including a Christmas concert on December 25 in the first-class dining hall, which features a beautiful art deco interior, and New Year’s events such as rice cake pounding on January 2, 2016.
